Program: A painting studio on residential land on the northeast edge of Santa Fe.
Project: The studio's fit with minimal loss of existing trees into an existing oblong clearing. The curved west wall follows the edge of the clearing. A solarium dropped down three steps at the south end adds passive solar heat the studio in winter. A high strip of east windows and a translucent skylight provide illumination at the easel.
