Program: Design a 150 square foot addition to include a TV cabinet and a fireplace.
Design: Seating will be against the wall opposite the TV cabinet. Place the fireplace obliquely to the cabinet so both are watchable from the sofa. Weave the corner together by opening the north wall on an angle projected by the face of the mantel. The mantel extends to the face of the glazing in the opening. Weave from the TV cabinet a window seat (banco) which runs under the mantel to to the east wall. Weave light, material and the human body.
